Families and friends often ask me: why do I pack every dinner story with so much detail that I lose my audience long before getting to the juicy part? It’s clear I have a deep love for storytelling but words are not my strongest suit. That’s why I tell stories through music.

As a composer, songwriter, and music producer, I craft sonic narratives that evoke emotion and deepen the impact of visual stories. Whether I’m working with an orchestra or a synth line, I approach each project with a curiosity for its world and characters. I'm constantly experimenting with new ways to uncover the heart of the story.

In recent years, my scores has been featured in award- winning/ nominated films recognized by the Newport Beach Film Festival, Tokyo Documentary Film Festival, DGA Student Awards, Student Academy Awards, Amsterdam Short Film Festival, and more. You can hear my music on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and The New Yorker, as well as in commercial campaigns for global brands including Adidas, BMW, Volvo, KFC, and Red Bull. I’ve also had the pleasure of arranging and orchestrating music for two of the highest-grossing Chinese blockbusters.

I’m currently based in the Pacific Northwest, where I live with my wife, composer and music educator Jade Jiaxue, our daughter Vienna, and our dog Lennon. I spend my days cooking both in the studio and in the kitchen, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors.
